About the Authors¶
Lisa Gulesserian is Preceptor on Armenian at Harvard, where she teaches three levels of Western Armenian. At Harvard and elsewhere, she has taught courses on memory, traumatic pasts, ghosts, female revolutionaries, and contemporary Armenian film and literature. She is the editor of the English translation of Srpuhi Dussap’s nineteenth-century feminist novel, Mayda: Echoes of Protest, published in 2020 with AIWA Press. Charry Karamanoukian is the Coordinator of the Armenian Language Program and a Lecturer in Armenian at Columbia University. Her research interests are in language pedagogy and language acquisition.
